[00:01] The industrial talk podcast go big in just six minutes a day. Building a legacy of success in a rapidly changing industrial market. Right. Welcome to the industrial talk podcast. My name is Scott MacKenzie. I am so glad and honored that you are here and joining the Industrial Talk podcast. So let's get going. We're going to talk about no frills
[00:21] coaching or mentoring. We've been talking over the past few weeks about that elite industrial athlete. We've been using the elite athlete as an example and uh, and what it takes for that elite athlete to Xcel. Right? It's important. There's a, there's a lot of things that we have discussed, but before we go down that road, I want to make sure you that you are aware of the industrial toolkit. We've been talking aloud about that too. You need this industrial toolkit starts with Active Campaign that’s your CRM goes into your Bomb Bomb shown that human side from a, from an email perspective, we discussed Bliss Drive. That's B L I s s drive, which is an organization that is really focused on your search engine optimization. It's vitally important for you as an industrial company to understand search engine optimization or SEO, and that's Bliss. Drive, B, L, I, S. S. And then we're going to throw in there one more tool, and that is Feedly, F, E, E, D, L, Y.
[01:33] And that is sort of the, the, it's just a congregation of information that is specific to anything out there and you can hone in on that information. We're going to talk about that in later podcasts. And then of course, we're all about education. Industrial Academy as well as the Industrial Dojo, all focused 100% on you, the industrial professional, you, the industrial company, and your success. So anyway, this is where we're at. We're going to talk about no frills, but before we go down that road, we talked about grit. You need grit in a, an elite athlete just continues to push, push, push, push, push, never gives up, never surrenders process, very structured, organized, what they do. Same thing exists for you as an elite industrial professional. Then you have that intense focus. You're not flying all over the place. You're not just looking at all those shiny objects, which is very easy.
[02:28] I'm telling you right now, it's easy. I, I am the biggest culprit of that. We're going to now venture into a no-frills coaching situation. Now, if anybody, if you know me out there and many do, uh, I, I, I'm not huggy, feely, fluffy. I, I'm not intentionally going to hurt your feelings, but I'm going to tell you the truth and we're going to get going. And that's what you're looking for. You're looking for a coach that gets right into it. No frills, no. You know, I mean, it's just, it's about you, your success, your elite status. And that coach is there to tell you the truth. So I'm looking out on forbes.com and there's an article out there and there are components of a good coach. So I want to read them out. It helps you to see yourself more clearly. Demand that. So if I'm an elite industrial athlete, I want to see myself more clearly to see others more clearly.
[03:35] I want to see my competition. I want to see who I'm racing against and I want to see them in clarity and then I'm going to learn new ways to respond. So the market itself, your coach, your mentor needs to look at that market, have that big vision market view, and be able to say, okay, we're going to go down this road, we're going to do this, we're going to pivot here, we're going to do whatever and, and, and demand that and no fluff, once again, no fluff, that they're going to learn new ways to respond. Leverage your existing, you have strengths and weakness. So we're going to leverage your existing strengths, right? And we're going to exploit those, for lack of a better term, to benefit you. Your coach has got to do that and push you down that road. Build more productive relationships, okay?
[04:28] You need that as an elite industrial athlete professional. You need to develop productive relationships. It is so important. And your coach, your mentor is dialed in on making that happen and then a six, achieve what you want, right? Because that's really what the coach is all about. A mentor. I want to win the race. If I'm an elite athlete and I'm putting out the grit and I'm following the process, I've got this intense focus and I want that coach to be painfully and I mean painfully honest in everything that I do and direct my steps. That's what a coach is all about. And I'm not gonna sit here and, and be fluffy. I like to work hard and play hard and, and I expect anybody coaching me, mentoring me, get to it, cut right to the chase, one of my weekend. What do I need to improve?
[05:32] Where do I need to go? How do I, you know, whatever those components are those six components out on for now, I'll have that and linked out in my, uh, on my website at industrialtalk.com on this particular podcast. So that's what I challenge you. If you need a coach, you're an elite athlete, you need a coach, and that coach has got to be no frills, no fluff, no rough, all of that stuff, or it's not going to be worth your time. It's not going to be worth your effort. It's not going to be worth your energy. That man, six minutes, get the pup baby. No prob coaching, no broke. You're an elite industrial professional and you require, you've got grit, you've got the process down, you've got intense focus and now you got a coach or a mentor that is no frills gel in it. Like it is being real. Have a wonderful day. Thank you very much. And if you're looking at me out on the video right there, I got a nice little world would graphics out there. So it's pretty cool looking. I kinda like it wore me out, but nonetheless, there it is. Thank you very much for joining the industrial talk top podcast. I appreciate it. Be Safe. And we will talk later.
