They're cute. Most people I would imagine. Yeah, that's, that's a bold statement. Of course, a lot of people are saying, Okay, you're here. Yes. And are you a member of OMG?

What do you train it on?
What we trained on how to create a virtual tween of a medical device yesterday to
actually do an ad? Using the docile platformer?
Yes, sir. In the Model based systems engineering capabilities we have on the 3d experience platform, which is or our innovation platform. Oh, that's cool stuff. I mean, I love it.
Was it it was a it's a pretty intuitive.
It is very intuitive. Yes. To say, hey,
here we go. Let's go. Let's make this a virtual twin and it just sort of
That'd be nice. If I could be that easy. Yeah.
Yeah. I don't mean to do that and simplify it. So I, of course, I'm always striving for simplicity, but there's a lot of horsepower. Okay. Give us a little background on who you are. You're a little and why you're such a great professional. And you brought this up, let's get into smart airports, because I have no idea what that is. But um, I guarantee I want a smart airport.
Yeah, that'd be nice. I'd like one to
any improvement would be great. So give us a background.
Yeah. Okay. So I'm in LA, I work in industrial equipment industry, which is one of industries of DESA system. So my normal business is more heavy stuff, every equipment. But I'm leading the digital twin Consortium for their systems on trying to work cross industry. That's why we're gonna talk about one topic, which is smart airports, and
see if I like that. So with that said, you will be the first individual that will put sort of some meat on the bones of a smart airport, I have airport, I want them smart. Tell us just Just what does that mean?
That's a good question. So first question is why do we need smart airports? Why No, no air travel is growing every year. More and more proud of traveling, trying to get to places to place from places to places and varying getting to maximum capacity. That's a major issue.
Are we are we really Yeah. It's just, of course, it seems like to me that my plane has always fallen and I could be flying to no place and it's full, because everybody's going to nowhere. So yeah.
So if you want to expand capacity, what do you need to do? You need to build more buildings, bigger airports. What do you want to do? It takes forever so you need to plan for this thing. So there's like three pillars want to be able to build bigger airports to to move more people. You want to be able to, since you're very close to max capacity, you want to be able to optimize your operations as an airport. So chemo passenger passenger experience multimodal passenger flow of Timo airport operations. And then you need to prepare for the future, because you already know that you're at maximum capacity, and you cannot wait for the building. So you need to find new ways of going beyond. And in four ways you're you're trying to create to be processes, when you run your airport, with what I have today. But being optimized for the future, it's kind of, it's kind of,
but if we're in a situation where the we're gonna move, let's just say we are at capacity. Yeah. And that means we have three options one build, or we have a blending of three options, because you're gonna have to do all three, yeah, build bigger, optimize whatever your existing operations might entail. Yeah. And then, of course, plan for the future, because more and more people are going to be using the services solution plan. And and I would say, safety. Yes. That crosses all of that, and rightly, so. Take us through, if we're at capacity, what's sort of that low hanging fruit? What does docile provide in that sense?
So we're trying to create a virtual tween or vector representation of vehicle, right, right, right. Which we can use and leverage the data coming from sensors in the airport to optimize for instance, viewer
patients, you can run simulations on that too, right? Yes, yes, exactly. Because that's, that's sort of the benefit of a virtual twin in a sense, I can, I can play around in this virtual world over here, optimize that, and then be able to not make the mistakes out of those things. No one and deploy whatever is
necessary. That's spending $1. Yeah, yeah.
And that's, that's sort of what what you're sort of doing. Exactly, here's the airport, and you start creating that that virtual twin, and then then you start Okay, running those two b's?
Yes, exactly. So we can do that for operations for construction. So if an airport is going to be build a new terminal, uh huh. What is the impact of the new building or the new terminal on vehicle system? around it? So we can, I don't know, fleet simulations,
just so I'm going to interrupt here, when you go to Charles de Gaulle, they they could probably call you and benefit from your services? Probably. Yep. Oh, yeah. That'd be great. That would be great. And I have no way to or whatsoever. But when I was there, there's room for improvement. Just Oh, yeah, I digress.
I agree. Absolutely.
But anyway, so. So we can you can do it in the world of the digital? Yes, yeah. In construction, yeah. But you can also do any operations, you're also sort of, you know, putting whatever that is into it as well.
I can give you an example, if we have something like a gate, and he's going wrong. And we cannot refuel an airplane, for instance, if somebody reports an issue, to a central place, where we can know exactly where the issue is coming from. Because the location is known. So we assign that to a virtual twin of airport. So we know exactly where it is, what kind of equipment as we issue, what serial number, we could have all the service instructions that go with it, we can give that to the maintenance personnel that can take that to the site and fix the issue a lot quicker. And if we don't have all this information, if we don't have the spiritual twin, it would take longer.
Yeah, and the as is of the situation is it would seem to me that the in the business of air, airports, it's just one of those responses, they've never really gotten to the point where, let's, let's figure out how we can plan better how we can optimize what are the tools and techniques that exist out there that that innovation that can help us I guarantee you they're not having that conversation? Because it would seem to me the culture of an airport is super reactive to a certain extent. You got the schedule planes, but man, it just seems like a five alarm fire all the time. Yeah. Yeah, that's a that's a heavy lift for you guys.
It is it is. And if you want to optimize your patience, you have to go from this reactive mode to proactive, no
big time. So with that said, Are there any airports that exist out there today? I mean, these are huge headlines. Not? Oh, yeah, mercy, one of the biggest Yeah, yeah. I just can't imagine creating a virtual twin, can you create a virtual twin? And just say we're going to virtually twin this part of the operations, this building or this try to incrementally a prod? Has that been done?
We've starting to do these kinds of things. Yes. So you can imagine to have drones scanning the area and then reconstructing your jewelry. And then, and then you can start simulating things put things together, we're starting to do that kind of stuff.
What's the benefit? I mean, outside of the the operational thing, I get all of that, are there? Are there some real dollar benefits? Are there some concrete results? That can people can say, oh, yeah, that's right.
Yes, because you want to have a base passenger experience, you have lots of restaurants and retail shops. So you want to be able to create or optimize the passenger flow. And making sure torva shops or restaurants are located at the best place to attract traffic, and things like this, so you can make your money.
Just you know, in all seriousness, that's complex stuff.
It is very complex, you know,
when I, when I landed ATL and got to go from concourse, a to the international Concourse, and it's, what, 27 miles away?
Yeah, you know, and I'm on my train.
I'm on a train, and I'm sweating it and then I gotta go up. God, that is so dynamic it is. And the only way that I know is that you'd have to sort of incrementally do that is, does it get to a point when, let's say you're doing that, and there's always a learning curve, and you're, you're trying to apply it, and then you just get better at it as time goes on, you just become more efficient at creating that virtual solution that virtual twin? I gotta tell you, it's it's an it's, again, I I'm easily overwhelmed by just because all I can think of is the operations and all of the air traffic and, and using Atlanta as an example. They're connected. Oh, yeah. Well, they're all connected. Yes. You know, Chicago's coming in. They're all connected. All gazillion flights.
Yes, exactly. And you can imagine to model virtually the representation of the ecosystem, we are traffic ecosystem. And we are working on this.
How do you have these conversations? When people say don't mess around with it? I'm already just sort of on the edge of my seat, but I understand what I need to do. How do you? How do you how do you begin approaching the human side?
a welcome. Exactly. Because I think the technology is a technology. It's always the human side. And I care dia, especially in that you're there. You're gonna say, I don't want you to mess up my day. Yeah. So how do you
we're trying to show them that we can provide real value return on investment. It's just like everything money is the art of everything, right? Oh,
yeah. Brian was so I mean, you don't want to it's Yeah, absolutely. But, but but you can do that.
Yes. But we're trying to make sure everything we do is related to sustainable innovation. We make sure everything is is sustainable. And being of a day, we'll have one planet, right. So we need to take care of it.
Understand it just don't mess up my flight. Exactly. That's what I would say to automatic. There are some businesses or industries that are are going through a lot of change. And one of the areas that I find significant changes is in there trying to figure it out, just because it's so important is utilities, the infrastructure, the grid, and all of that, all that stuff and being able to do that. And all I care about is that when I go home, I just want to flip on that switch and I don't want to see it fluttering. I just want to see that light go
on. And if you don't see any disruption, it means we did our business. Very good. But that's
exactly right. And they're gonna go down that road, and I remember having conversations I said, you you don't get many bites of the apple to do this, right? Yes. Because you make one mistake and it's like, you know, you know, the human reaction to that. Oh, yeah. Well, else are you talking about it is OMG anything else?
OMG. We talk a lot about model based systems engineering, new standards, new technologies, obviously, talking about Digital tween all industries. So, we talked about airports we talk we can talk about smart AG, for instance, smart, wide, Smart Agriculture.
That's huge. That's another conversation to have. I like that big
topic. We have tons of big interesting topics I guess we're working on. It's very fine.
It's good thing your your, your parent company can sort of foot the bill for all of this stuff, too. It's a good thing. Like, I gotta tell you, for me, personally, I'm it's exciting. It is very
